ಅಂಥ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಸರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿ ಏನೂ ಬೇರೆ ಆಪ್ಷನ್ಗಳು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್ ಅವರ ಬಳಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಃಖ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು, ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೋಪ ಬಂದರೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಬಿಡಬಹುದು.
ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿ ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ಯೋಚಿಸಿ ಈಗ ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. 25 ವರ್ಷದ ಕಿಂಬರ್ಲಿ ನ್ಗುಯೆನ್ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಅವಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
ಆಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಣವೂ ತಡಮಾಡದೆ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಪುನಃ ಅದೇ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ನಂತರ ಆ ಹುದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆಲೆಕ್ಟ್ ಆಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಬಳ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ವಿಷಯ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ನೆಟ್ಟಿಗರ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದಿದೆ.
ಮಹಿಳೆ ತನ್ನ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸದಿದ್ದರೂ, ವೇತನ ಅಸಮಾನತೆಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೈಲೈಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪರ-ವಿರೋಧ ನಿಲುವು ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ. ತಾವೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಕಂಪೆನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೇನಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಪುನಃ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋ ಚಾನ್ಸೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಇನ್ನು ಹಲವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
My company just listed on LinkedIn a job posting for what I’m currently doing (so we’re hiring another UX writer) and now thanks to salary transparency laws, I see that they intend to pay this person $32k-$90k more than they currently pay me, so I applied.
