ಕೊರೋನವೈರಸ್ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕವು ಇಡೀ ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ತಲ್ಲಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಕರಾಳ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುವುದು ತುಂಬಾ ಕಷ್ಟ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಎಷ್ಟು ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟಿತು ಎಂದರೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಲಾಕ್‌ಡೌನ್ ಅನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ರೋಗವನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟಲು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅದು ಸಮಾಜದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೀರಿತು.
ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾವಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದಂತೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ನೋವಿನ ಅನುಭವವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಹಾಸಿಗೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಜನರು ಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಗೋಳಾಟ ಆ ದೇವರಿಗೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿ.
ಆದರೆ ಈಗ, ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡ್-ಅಪ್ ಕಾಮಿಡಿಯನ್, ಡೇನಿಯಲ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರು ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಮಯದ ಕೆಲವೊಂದು ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಗಳ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಪಟ್ಟೆ ಟ್ರೋಲ್ಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜನರು ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಗೆ ಬಲಿಯಾದ ಕರಾಳ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಜೋಕ್ ಆಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರ ಜೋಕ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರೂ ನಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Is this remotely humour / comedy of any kind?? How sick (the conventional meaning of sick!) is this guy's idea of a stand-up routine! Using the grimmest, most tragic time that we lived in, and the spin of some "chai" joke he thought was brilliant!!! Yuck.

I personally know, quite a few people who couldn't make it, due to unavailability of timely medical treatment. Relatives, friends, acquaintances, all gone, to this "pandemic"
Whatever may be the agenda, the deaths were real, the tragedy was real, the loss was real.
