ಇಂಡೋನೇಷ್ಯಾದ ಮೌಂಟ್ ರುವಾಂಗ್ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿ ಜನಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ 2 ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿ ಸ್ಫೋಟಿಸಿದೆ. ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಸುಮಾರು 2 ಕಿಮೀ ಎತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿಯ ಬೂದಿ ಹೊರಸೂಸಿದೆ. ಸತತ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿಯಿಂದ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸುಲವೆಸಿ ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ವಹಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ಫೋಟಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿಯ ಕುಳಿಯಿಂದ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 6 ಕಿಮೀ ದೂರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ದ್ವೀಪದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿ ಸ್ಫೋಟದ ಭೀಕರತೆಯ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗಳು ಟ್ವಿಟರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದಾಡ್ತಿದ್ದು ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿವೆ.
ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಪ್ರದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಬೂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬಂಡೆಗಳು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, 4,30,000 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರಿರುವ ಮನಾಡೋ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನ ಚಾಲಕರು ಹಗಲಿನ ವೇಳೆಯೇ ಹೆಡ್ಲೈಟ್ ಆನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು.
