ಅಲೆಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಈಜಾಡುವುದು ಎಂಬ ನಾಣ್ಣುಡಿಯನ್ನೇ ಅಕ್ಷರಶಃ ನಿಜರೂಪರಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಐಪಿಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಮುಂಬಯಿಯ ಗೇಟ್ ವೇ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದಿಂದ ಎಲಿಫೆಂಟಾ ಗುಹೆಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಈಜುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊಸ ದಾಖಲೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
’ಮುಳುಗುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಜಾಗೃತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಅಭಿಯಾನದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ 16.2 ಕಿಮೀ ದೂರವನ್ನು 5 ಗಂಟೆ 26 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಟ್ವಿಟರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇರ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್.
ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 26ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 7:45ಕ್ಕೆ ಗೇಟ್ ವೇ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದಿಂದ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಅವರು ಈಜಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವ ಘಳಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಈ ವಿಡಿಯೋ, ಇದೇ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕೊರಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂವಿನ ಹಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಟ್ರೋಫಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪೋಸ್ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೃಶ್ಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊನೆಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಎಲಿಫೆಂಟಾ ಗುಹೆಗಳಿಂದ ಗೇಟ್ ವೇ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಈಜುಗಾರರು ಅಲೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈಜಿದರೆ ತಾವು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಲೆಗಳ ಎದುರು ಈಜಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಾಗಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್.
