ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸುವ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಿವೆ. ನಮ್ಮದೇ ಭೂತಕೋಲಾ, ತಮಿಳು ನಾಡಿನ ಜಲ್ಲಿಕಟ್ಟು, ಅಟ್ಟುಕಲ್ ಪೊಂಗಲ ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವಷ್ಟೇ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಬ್ಬವಾದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಭಾರೀ ಹುಮ್ಮಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಕೇರಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಚಮಯವಿಳಕ್ಕು ತನ್ನ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೆಸರು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. ಕೊಲ್ಲಂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಈ ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರುಷರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಧಿರಿಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ತಮ್ಮ ಅಸಲಿ ಗುರುತೇ ಸಿಗದಂತೆ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೇಕಪ್, ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹಾವ ಭಾವಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರನ್ನೇ ಹೋಲುತ್ತದೆ.
ಭಾರತೀಯ ರೈಲ್ವೇ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಅನಂತ್‌ ರೂಪನಗುಡಿ ಈ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಕುರಿತ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಕರ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಟ್ವಿಟರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಗೆಟಪ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪುರುಷನೊಬ್ಬನ ಚಿತ್ರ ಶೇರ್‌ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅನಂತ್‌, “ಕೊಲ್ಲಂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂಕುಳಂಗಾರಾದ ದೇವಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಮಯವಿಳಕ್ಕು ಎಂಬ ಹಬ್ಬ ಆಚರಿಸುವ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರುಷರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಧರಿಸಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೇಕಪ್ ಸ್ಫರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಗೆದ್ದ ಪುರುಷನ ಚಿತ್ರವಿದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈತ ಪುರುಷ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಎಂಬ ಅರ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಮೆಂಟ್‌ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೆಟ್ಟಿಗರು, ಪುರುಷನೊಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಅವತಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
